Dr. Tony Barger was born and raised in Benton, Arkansas. Dr. Tony always knew he wanted to be a doctor, but it wasn’t until he had a personal experience with a chiropractor changing his life for the better that he chose chiropractic.
As a child, Tony suffered from constant ear aches and ear infections. He had to take antibiotics every three weeks. As well as having many sets of tubes put in his ears. Doctors told Tony that there was nothing they could do for him and that he would be deaf by the age 20. On top of constant ear problems, Dr. Tony suffered from vertigo every day, which lasted between 6-8 hours a day. Luckily, one day Tony fell off a ladder and hurt his back bad enough to go to a chiropractor. The chiropractor was able to give Tony instant relief to his back and eventually he noticed his ear aches and ear infections were better! After a while, Tony no longer needed the antibiotics and tubes. Tony also began noticing a difference in his vertigo.
After this miraculous experience, Dr. Tony decided to go into chiropractic school. Dr. Tony wanted to make a difference in peoples’ lives without using medication. His goal is to help people discover their full potential and reach optimal function through chiropractic care, exercise, and diet.
Dr. Tony attended University of Arkansas at Little Rock until 2003 before transferring to Logan College of Chiropractic in St. Louis, MO. He graduated in 2007 with his chiropractic degree and a bachelor degree in human biology. Dr. Tony worked as a chiropractor and clinic director for one of the top chiropractic companies in the nation before moving back to Arkansas to take care of his family.
Dr. Tony is the most recent addition to the Pain Care Associates team and currently practices in the Benton office.
In Dr. Tony’s spare time, he enjoys: hunting, fishing, camping, and spending quality time with his wife and daughters.
